tablo: The Journey.

tablo was born in Port-au-Prince | Haiti from two main observations.

1) Students have access to the same information that their teachers have.

2) Schools, teachers, parents, and students are out of sync regarding their shared goal: learning.

In 2020, we brought the idea to life. Since the beginning, we have always believed that being in school is not the same as learning. And for education to be done correctly in Haiti, everyone – teachers, parents, students, and school admins – should learn at the same “place” together and track their progress.

tablo is on a mission to create tools for teachers to learn, students to learn, parents to learn, school admins to learn, and thereby creating a community of learners.

The social, moral, political, and economic crisis that Haiti is going through has greatly affected the operations of tablo within Haiti and has - sadly - pushed the company to look for other avenues to pursue its mission outside of the country.

We thank everyone, mainly our Haitian school partners, for believing in this vision from day one.

What’s next?

tablo has joined Crescat.

Today, we are closing the loop in Haiti. We have found a new home. We are bringing the product and design team to Abacus to continue our mission.

We are shutting down the tablo web application as part of this acquisition.

The product and design team will have a new home at Crescat to help different EdTech companies refine their product experience and design to sustain innovations that help schools learn.

We hope that at a later time, we can again support Haiti's educational needs with the same passion and joy!
